Rainier Independent Film FestivalWe had a great time at the first annual Rainier Independent Film Festival (RIFF) and felt very honored to be part of the festival.

Love Sick was the opening film for the Twisted Midnight Showcase and was seen by about 50 people. The Showcase was held in the largest of 3 venues and with the exception of the Opening Night Gala had the largest audience.

Love Sick held up very well on the “big” screen and sounded great. We received plenty of great feedback on the film from both filmmakers and audience members alike.

We also had the chance to see some great films and meet some of the filmmakers in attendance. Ironically, we were the only Washington filmmakers to appear at the festival.

Filmmakers we had a chance to meet and their films:

  • Jacob Cooney(director) and Kevin Kelly(co-writer/producer/actor) – Fierce Friend
  • Arol Jahns(director/writer/actor) – Blindfold
  • John Sobrack(director/writer) – Nearlife

Other films we really enjoyed and recommend you see if you get a chance:

Kudos to Win and Sara Whittaker, organizers of the event, for doing such a great job on their first film festival. We look forward to RIFF 2008 and beyond!
